John Stott; Go Listen!

All preachers out there: go listen to John Stott. I feel he is a model for accuracy, precision, conciseness, clear use of language, appropriate use of illustrations and telling application. Above all it is his skillful use of words which prompts me to urge preachers to listen to him. He wastes no words; there is no waffle. It is as if all his capacities are presented, under God, for the service of the people. He is, dare I say, a true minster of Jesus Christ to the people. You feel he has done the study, understood the text, marshalled his material, structured the message and appropriately delivered it. And afterwards the listener is fed, helped, strengthened in the Word and led to appreciate the Lord.

So fellow-preacher go listen to John Stott and I believe it will do you good.
