To venable (verb): To randomly muse upon this and that.

Know Your Children.

I remember being in a home some years ago and there seemed to be something not quite right in the relationship between the children and the father. Also whilst there I had asked the father how old his children were. He did not know how old they were and had to ask. Moreover, there was something of an indifference in his response. The impression he gave was that it was of not much consequence to him.

I mused afterward that there was probably a connection between these two phenomena. Disinterested fathers lead to a disorderly family.
