When I attend a conference with someone else I generally agree with that person or persons that we will split up during the conference. Why is this a reasonable thing to do?
- One of the benefits of a conference is to confer with others. To be always sitting with the person you went with inherently hinders this.
- On the way home from the conference you can speak with your friend / colleague and consider what you have learnt.
It always seems a little bit counter productive when people who go to a conference spend the whole of the conference together as a group. It seems to take away something of the conference experience.
