There are only two religions in the world. One is based on what you do and the other is based on what Christ has done.
When you pick behind the surface of every religion other than true Christianity it is all about what you do. Whether it be Buddhism, Islam. Catholicism, Sikhism , Judaism or any other religion, the fundamentals are the same. The followers of such religions are doing their best to please God. They are seeking to do things which will get God to be pleased with them in the end.
True Christianity looks to Christ and Christ alone as the basis for being accepted by God. Paul says in Ephesians 2:8-9 it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.
We are not accepted according to what we do. It is what Christ has done on the cross in dying for our sins which gives us our basis for being accepted by God.
So which religion are you following? Are you looking for acceptance through your works or through faith in Christ? Remember, there are only two religions in the world.
